    About us

    I have 15 years of linguistics, translation and interpreting services experience. I gained a great deal of experience with clients in the Courts, Police, Local Authorities, the NHS, Solicitors, Detective Agencies, DWP (Department of Work and Pensions) and website developers. This experience led me to realise there was a gap in the market for high quality translation and interpreting in a number of languages and so I founded Global Language Interpreting Ltd to fill this gap. Part of my brief to make my company work was to gather together a team of qualified linguists so I was able to offer my services in numerous languages only using qualified native speakers based in the UK (minimum 5 years). We work a lot with Law Firms as there are many language barrier issues in the legal sector e.g. Immigration. Naturally, these issues can be very sensitive and, as a result, the need for accurate translation and interpreting is paramount. Our staff are fully trained to understand the importance of this.

    What inspired you to start your own business?

    After years of working in the language industry at all levels, I realised that there was a gap in the market for a linguistics company that could supply traditional services to an exceptionally high standard.

    Whilst google translate and other translation apps were becoming popular, they do not offer the accuracy of translation required for important and sensitive documents. I wanted to create a set of services which catered for simple translations of correspondence right through to complex medical translations websites etc. We also offer language tuition to individuals and companies. Our innovative solutions can help businesses grow their client base in the UK and abroad and increase productivity by removing language barriers in the workplace.

    We are passionate about language and communication. Our translators are chosen because they are professional, native speakers of the language they are translating from. They work in pairs to ensure accuracy and they are also aware of the nuances of language. A translator who doesn’t appreciate the subtle differences in a language e.g. from one region to another can make a translation read very differently from what was intended. Therefore, our clients can be absolutely confident they are getting the most accurate translation possible at a fair price.
